The student felt confident about the first half of her test that she took on Friday. In preparation of the second half of her test, we revisited some old problems on inverse trig functions that I had helped her with.

We covered more specialized quadrilaterals in this session. We explored the differences between the rhombus, rectangle, parallelogram, square, and trapezoid based on their attributes (bisecting diagonals, sets of parallel sides, etc.).
She has a good attitude towards the material, and the main strategy discussed in the session was using levels of specificity when referring to each distinct quadrilateral.
She got a 96% on the test that I saw online.
My only concern from this session is that she wants to take her final test very soon (next few days), and still has more material to cover.

The student and I talked about properties of logarithms as well as solving logarithmic equations. We did this while looking through his homework.

The student and I began preparing for his upcoming test. The student had only covered half the material in class that will be tested, so we focused on that portion of the material. I gave the student some homework problems to do before the next session to help him prepare for the test.

We continued preparing for the student's make up exam. She understands the concepts really well, but minor arithmetic errors continue to plague her. She is beginning to see the importance of writing down every step of an equation throughout the process and double checking her work. She wants to get the work done quickly, but sometimes sacrifices specificity...which is key in mathematics.
