The student and I reviewed one of her previous tests to begin the session. The concepts included electronegativity, polarity, VSEPR theory, the activity series, precipitation reactions, and naming molecules containing a metal and nonmetal. She had a very positive attitude regarding the material. By the end of the session, she was fully energized and eager to learn more. I informed her that many of her issues arose from her lack of checking for minor errors, and because of this, I asked her to always check her work before completion.
