I received my education at Manhattan School of Music, Columbia University, the Universitaet Mozarteum, in Salzburg, Austria, University of Virginia, and Oxford. I have taught in the US, UK, Austria and Japan, and lived in all of those countries, plus Iceland, and for a shorter period in both France, and Turkey. My students have ranged in age from kindergarten, to adults, and have spoken many languages. I grew up trilingual, and added quite a few more languages along the way.
