Certified Tutor
As a passionate educator with a Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology and Neuroscience from Rowan University, I have over 5 years of tutoring experience, focusing on subjects like microbiology, immunology, anatomy, and physiology. My journey began in college at the University of Delaware as a Medical Laboratory Science major, where I discovered my love for teaching while tutoring my peers in general biology and chemistry courses. I strive to create a supportive learning environment by employing a Socratic method, encouraging students to recognize their existing knowledge by helping guide them to the answers. My goal is to empower students, helping them overcome educational challenges, and build confidence in their understanding of complex topics. I am about to start my last year of medical school, where I am highly interested in pursuing academic medicine in some capacity following graduation. I continually seek opportunities to enhance my teaching skills, including hosting reviews and tutoring sessions for my medical school peers. I also enjoy exploring new scientific literature (and contributing to it when I'm able!) and sharing my enthusiasm for science through engaging presentations and educational videos on various platforms.

While a good portion of each day is spent in the hospital, studying, or tutoring, I still enjoy spending time exercising (I love Orange Theory Fitness!), hanging out with my dog (he's an Australian Shepherd-Collie mix) and husband, being a new aunt, reading, and listening to true crime podcasts. Fun fact about me is I have a twin brother who is finishing up dental school!
