I am passionate about education, whether it be my patients and their families, new colleagues, or even my own knowledge. I believe one of the best ways to learn is to teach, so I encourage my students to have an open dialogue with me during lessons rather than lecturing the information "at" them. I look...

Health Care Policy Tutoring FAQ
Given the significant and rapid changes sweeping the healthcare landscape today, the study of health care policy is becoming increasingly complex and demanding. Varsity Tutors can help you connect with health care policy tutors to help you make the most of your studies. Personal tutors are excellent at distilling the many convoluted topics in this subject into manageable, understandable lessons. Health care policy tutors are successful graduate students, medical students, and public policy students who have excellent track records of helping students at all learning levels. Furthermore, health care policy tutors are committed to identifying the relevant level of detail students need to succeed in their current course of study.
Tutors customize each student's tutoring to reflect his or her academic needs and goals. Tutors will collaborate with students to identify their weakest areas within health care policy. They will factor in your schedule, testing dates, course syllabus, and other details that may impact your tutoring plan. Your tutor can adjust your session frequency depending on what your needs are that week. Then they'll design a tutoring plan to bolster your knowledge in the areas that you are struggling in. Tutors can offer a wealth of resources to help students grasp even the most nebulous topics. They can cover basic and advanced aspects of the Affordable Care Act; Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D; Medicaid; health care financing; and private health insurance. They are also well-versed in the history of American health care reform and the structure of health care policy administration within the United States government. Furthermore, you and your tutor can discuss issues like health care quality, health care costs, behavioral health, the health care workforce, and medical liability, as well as the American health care system in a global context.
The role of industries such as pharmaceuticals, device companies, and clinical research in shaping health policy is another topic in which tutors have significant experience. Tutors can also augment sessions by exposing you to the current academic literature and media pertaining to health care policy. They may offer personalized learning materials that are designed to help you apply the ideas and concepts of the course to the real world. You may watch the news, read upcoming bills, or devise arguments for or against health care policy changes. Throughout your tutoring sessions, you receive instant feedback that is geared toward improving your confidence, knowledge, and understanding.
Tutors are even available to help students develop effective, efficient study plans for upcoming midterm or final exams, review and edit course papers, discuss and explain assigned readings, or help students work through complicated homework assignments. Since they know when your tests are scheduled, they can help you prepare for an exam or test with a thorough review.
Your tutor is completely flexible. They can meet you in-person at a location of your choosing at a time of your choosing, whether it's morning, afternoon, or evening. If you have a busy schedule, you can request face-to-face online tutoring sessions from anywhere you have an internet connection! Tutors work to make sure your health care policy tutoring seamlessly integrates into your schedule. Your tutor can travel to you to hold sessions at the time and location that best suits your particular needs. Furthermore, given the challenging nature of the subject, health care policy tutors are happy to schedule as many sessions as you feel are necessary each week. It is common for students to request additional tutoring sessions when they have a test approaching. Recent Health Care Policy Tutoring Session Notes
Today the student studied literary terms (tone, genre, allusion, etc.), reviewed the theorists and practiced solving problems using graphs. The test she is studying for is heavy on ELA pedagogy and theory. She feels she needs the most help with graphs and math.
The student and I went through a test review packet her teacher gave out (some questions were conceptual, others were quantitative). The questions we went over covered work, KE, and elastic and gravitational PE. After spending almost two hours with her, I now feel like she has a much better understanding of these physics topics, in addition to having a much better understanding of the conservation of mechanical energy principle.
The student has a geometry test on surface areas, so we went over the review packet. The review covered calculating surface areas and lateral surface areas of all the basic 3D shapes (cones, cylinders, prisms, cubes) and also briefly covered finding the area of cross sections. Overall, she did well. She had an initial problem with visualizing some of the shapes (when the picture wasn't given), and she, at first, did not know how to calculate the surface area of composite shapes.
On the tutoring session today, I worked with the student on solving algebraic equations and some of her algebra homework. We worked on equations that required using fractions and establishing equations from word problems. She did very well but will need to practice some more.
The student took her Physics test on Friday. She felt confident about the test because several of the questions we had just reviewed on Wednesday. For our Sunday session I introduced the Electromagnetic theory and wave properties. We skimmed over most of the terms she will use in this unit and talked about how they were related to each other. Hopefully this introduction will help Jennifer gain more from her class sessions this upcoming week. I formulated several practice problems and Jennifer was able to do them on her own after several examples. She seems to enjoy this unit so far and I hope her enthusiasm continues.
Today we focused on two main things: The chapter 6 test and the section in Chapter 7 that was giving her the most trouble. After going over Section 7.3, we focused on concepts of redrawing triangles in a manner that is easier to understand.
