I have over 25 years of high school teaching experience in AP Chemistry, Chemistry, Biology, and AP Environmental Science. I enjoy teaching science and I am excited to work with you to help make you successful learning it.

I graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC in 2008, the oldest English speaking acting conservatory in the world. I graduated Summa from University of St Thomas with a BA in English, and just wrapped up a MS in Data Science from Northwestern.I'm a huge Red Sox fan and love watching detective shows when I have free time.

I have completed an Associates in Business and I am currently working on a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering. Once I started taking my math and science courses in the engineering program, I fell in love with math and all the applications it has in the world. I knew engineering was for me.Once I started my engineering program, I had to take my math courses (Algebra- Calculus2), Physics 1&2, and Chemistry 1&2, I was consistently at the top of my class, receiving all A's.This is where I began tutoring classmates in various math and chemistry courses, by tutoring I was able to sharpen both my skills and the students skills at the same time.If you are struggling in math or chemistry, let me help you make math easy again!

I am inspiring high school biology and chemistry teacher. In May of 2015, I earned my A.S. in Chemistry at Atlantic Cape Community College. This May (2017), I earned my B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BCMB) at Stockton University. At Stockton I was a researcher assistant, where I worked with Drosophila melanogaster, the common fruit fly for a year. In addition, I was a teaching assistant for a biology laboratory (Biodiversity and Evolution) last fall. Currently, I am a substitute teacher for the Ocean City Schools District. Through my experiences, I learned that I love science and teaching. My favorite subjects being biochemistry, genetics, chemistry, biology, and molecular biology.As a tutor, it is my goal to inspire students to pursue science, just like my teachers have done for me. Additionally, I want to enhance my students studying habits to ensure that they are not only ready for a subject related to science, but any course they will take in the future. I believe each student is unique and teaching should cater to their individual needs. In my down time, I enjoy hiking with my two dogs and playing my trumpet. Also, I like to read comics (the Bat Family in particular), manga, and watch anime and cartoons. Yes, I know I am a nerd.

I am a senior at Georgia Tech studying Business, Spanish, French and German. While in high school, I had the opportunity to work for my school's math department to help students struggling in class and discovered my passion for helping students succeed. My strength and background in tutoring has been focused on all levels of math, but my experience in AP classes and time spent living in both France and Spain have opened me to the opportunity to also support students in history, science, and foreign languages. I believe that with the right combination of personal instruction and effort, every student can succeed.

I am a graduate of the University of Nebraska in Omaha. I received my Bachelor of Sciences in Molecular and Biomedical Biology with a minor in Chemistry. After graduation, I did a postbaccalaureate program in pre-medicine to prepare for medical school, to which I am currently applying. My experience goes back to my college days with my classmates. When I understood a concept, I enjoyed explaining and sharing it with them in my different study groups and they loved it. I also teach adults and teenagers in my local church. I believe that knowledge is power and seeking deep and extensive understanding is actually honorable. There is no shame. We can do this together.

I am a student at Oklahoma Wesleyan University and will be graduating in May of 2020. I will be graduating with a double major in both biology and biochemistry and will also have a minor in chemistry. I will be attending veterinary school at Oklahoma State University and will start classes there in August of 2020. I enjoy chemistry, biology, and biochemistry and also enjoy mathematical aspects of science. I strive to help students with any science questions they may have, but also have a strong background in many other subjects. I also enjoy playing soccer and basketball, running, and playing video games in my free time.

I am a current student at Washington University in St. Louis following the pre-medical track. I plan on majoring in Biology Neuroscience with a possible minor in Mathematics. I currently work as a student assistant in a Neuroanatomical lab at Washington University Medical School. I also participate in public health and community service organizations on campus.I have served as a tutor to various age groups ranging from first graders to my peers in college. Due to these experiences, my primary goal as a tutor will be to both instill belief and motivation into all of my students because I believe that only a lack of these two components prevents a student from maximizing their potential. I hope to work with my students in an informative and collaborative manner to help them develop an interest in the subject material.

Tutoring provides me the opportunity to work with students and connect with them in a manner that influences their enjoyment of a subject. My passion is science and math because it explains how the world works, how nature works, and how all the phenomenon around us work. I want all students to enjoy science and math, and understand how they impact us in our daily lives. As I watch the learning process unfold, I am able to watch those connections being made, and nothing brings me greater satisfaction than seeing that moment when a student has that clarity and feels empowered that they mastered something they thought they never could.I take a collaborative approach to teaching to ensure thorough understanding of the material, allowing students to also enjoy the learning process, and focus on pertinent applications of the material extending beyond the scope of a single assignment. I like to break concepts down into smaller, easy-to-manage parts, and then bring them back together once each part is mastered.I earned my Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and after 10 years as a police officer, decided to change careers to positively impact people through teaching. I will complete my Master's in Education at the end of the year. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my 4 children, and I am also interested in photography and reading.
