I am a graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Psychology and of Sam Houston State University with a M.A. in Clinical Forensic Psychology. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from my undergrad program and with a 4.0 for my master's degree. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate career, I spent much of my time tutoring and teaching. During undergrad I assisted with tutoring English, essay writing, and psychology courses, and during my master's program, I tutored and taught psychology courses and statistics for psychology. I am well versed in study techniques and methods of teaching that are helpful with high school and undergraduate students. Further, I spent the past year learning and teaching LSAT prep and scored very well on my LSAT in preparation for attending law school this coming Fall. In addition to my educational endeavors, I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee, doing crossfit, reading, and attending church-related events.

After my undergrad, I decided to work and study abroad in Barcelona, Spain, where I obtained my Trinity CertTSOL certificate for ESL teaching.It was overseas working with people of so many different backgrounds that I grew to love language learning in general, and teaching English in particular. I am passionate about education, and I strive to impart that passion onto my students, whether they are taking lessons for casual conversation skills or need help with profession business communication.

Since graduation, I have worked in the corporate business world for over 30 years and I have traveled extensively and have worked throughout the world. I first began tutoring when I was in 5th grade. I was outside of my home playing with the locals, when a parent came up to me and said, "You look smart enough, come help my son in math." I was a little shy and nervous at the time, plus the fact that her son was 3 years older than me, I wasn't sure what to expect. The first day of tutoring I looked at his homework and said to him this looks pretty easy. After a few more sessions he told me he wanted to show me something, he pulled out a quiz he took and pointed at his %100. He told me it was the first %100 ever; I took out a $20 bill and told him this is my first $20 ever (his mother paid me for tutoring him that day). Since then I have been tutoring in various capacities, from high school students to siblings. My goal is to ensure that everyone I interact with are one step closer to being successful.

I am a student at University of California, Los Angeles, double majoring in Applied Math and Business Economics. My previous tutoring experience includes tutoring college-level and high school students in a variety of subjects, including Math, Economics, Accounting and English, as well as working with elementary school students on the improvement of reading skills.
