As a recent graduate with a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University, I have many years of informal experience in tutoring subjects such as Algebra, AP Calculus AB, and College Chemistry. I also have formal teaching experience in a classroom setting teaching communication and active listening skills to future young teachers. My passion for teaching stems from a desire to help students build strong foundational skills in math and science with a focus on problem-solving rather than just "plug and chug". I believe that understanding the basics is crucial for academic success, and I strive to create engaging learning experiences that encourage students to think critically and ask questions. My approach involves breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts, providing examples, and allowing students ample practice to solidify their understanding.
