Haleema: Harrow tutor
Certified Tutor
As an English major with a minor in Education from the University of Illinois Chicago, I bring over four years of diverse educational experience, including roles as a substitute teacher, Title I instructor, and currently as a private ESL tutor. My teaching philosophy centers on providing individualized instruction that addresses each student's unique needs, interests, and strengths, which fosters confidence and skills essential for academic success. I am particularly passionate about creating a supportive and nurturing environment where students feel safe to explore and learn from their mistakes. This approach has proven effective in both English and Middle School Math, where I employ strategies such as clear objectives and scaffolding techniques to enhance understanding. My commitment to student growth extends beyond academics, as I strive to inspire a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.
