You could say I've lived many lives and worked many jobs, making me uniquely experienced for someone my age. I studied at Michigan State University from 2016-2020, and graduated May of that year with a B.S. in Cellular Physiology and a minor in Spanish. During my time in undergrad, I completed an immersive study abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico, and I loved every moment of it. Since October 2020 I've worked as a long term substitute teacher for Spanish classrooms before eventually adopting a classroom of my own for the 23-24 school year. What did I realize? While the best part of the job was the connections I made with my students, the most gratifying was during lessons when I would see my students make the connection between the topics I was teaching. I'm a Virgo meaning I'm a perfectionist at heart, paying attention to every meticulous detail to achieve perfection and that is reflected in my tutoring skills. I periodically check in during our lessons and urge them to tell me if they do not understand a topic. Learning another language is difficult, and students need to be provided with the best possible support they can receive in order to succeed.

When it comes to science tutoring, my background in pursuing a medical career has deeply shaped the way I teach. I've integrated effective study strategiesdeveloped through years of rigorous traininginto my lessons to help students retain information and improve recall. During my undergrad years, I gravitated toward every biology course I could take, especially physiology and anatomy. Science continues to thrill, challenge, and inspire me in equal measureand I believe that curiosity is what makes it so essential to understanding the world around us.
