I graduated from the University of Puget Sound with honors in English, Writing and Rhetoric. There, I received formal training in tutoring writing. I also enjoyed tutoring geometry and algebra in high school.
Since college, I've published nationally distributed essays and comics, and wrote a young adult steampunk novel. I love tutoring math because it didn't come easy to me, so I'm proud to share what I've learned, and I know you can learn it too. I love working with neurodiverse students, and practicing my ASL with Deaf and hard of hearing learners.

I play and teach the cello. I write speculative fiction, love to read, and love to workshop other people's writing. I play every kind of music I can, and am currently playing with a tango band. Growing up in Alaska taught me how to connect to the world around me, and see all the different layers of life and detail around. I live in Chicago now, and see the same layers of life and interconnection in this beautiful city.
