I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in History and minors in Spanish and Computer Science. I am fluent in Spanish and enjoy supporting students who may need translation support or assistance with Spanish coursework. Since 2018, I have served as a high school reading comprehension and essay writing tutor, a History student teacher, and an ESL high school tutor to multiple students. During my full-time job as an editor, I also work with students and others to improve their writing skills. I am well-equipped to help with English, History, Spanish and Math tutoring needs.

I believe learning to appreciate the humanities can lead to a more rich and fulfilling life, but educators need to make it a priority to make reading and writing instruction accessible to their students. I understand how frustrating it can be when students receive loads of information without having an opportunity to test and reinforce their knowledge. My main priority when working with a student is to empower them as learners. If we are working on an essay together, I will be making sure they know how to create a strong outline and nail the structure down. I have seen firsthand how giving students the building blocks they need to solve problems on their own makes them more confident and knowledgeable both inside and outside the classroom.
