When I was a teenager, it was my dream to teach. I have been fortunate enough that my dream became reality! I am passionate about helping students because it is amazing to see students connect with what they are learning. I love being able to help students have their "a-ha!" moments.
I received my BA from Sam Houston State University in 2014, majoring in Sociology with a minor in Political Science. In 2021 I graduated from Grand Canyon University with my MS in Psychology, emphasis in Forensic Psychology. In 2023 I graduated from Schreiner University with my MEd in Educational Leadership.
For 10 years I was a high school teacher and coach. I taught Social Studies with subjects including: World History, Psychology, Sociology, World Geography, US History, World History Through Film, and World Geography Through Food. I have tutored students in more, like Algebra I, Government, Economics, essay writing, etc. My favorite subjects to teach/tutor are Psychology and Sociology because it really challenges the student, and the content is so interesting!
Outside of academia, I love to spend time with my husband and 2 dogs. We collect Funko Pops and play World of Warcraft. I also enjoy reading fantasy books!
