I have my BS in Education and I am also state ceritifed to teach. I currently tutor elementary/middle school math and reading. I also speciailize in secondary education social studies (american and world hsitory, psychology, and government).
When tutoring I like to create lessons reviewing and practicing state learning standards. I utilize interactive tools like Kahoot and Quizlet to make learning fun and effective, allowing students to assess their own understanding in real-time.

Most of my time is spent at home with my son. I enjoy reading books, both independently and with my son at the library. We also like to visit the nearby nature center, parks, beaches and museums. I enjoy volunteering at my local church, I recently volunteered at Vacation Bible School and was able to guide and connect with students in elementary school. I love brain games including sudoku, connections, and solitaire. With my students I like to assess learning and encourage engagement including educational games!
