I have always admired the impact teachers can have on their students. From a young age, I looked up to my own teachers, many of whom left a lasting impression on me. They didn't just teachthey ignited my passion for learning. This experience has driven me to want to make a similar difference in the lives of students, fostering that same drive and curiosity in them. While I have no formal teaching experience, I have spent countless hours tutoring my younger siblings and cousins. These experiences have given me a solid foundation in breaking down complex topics and helping others grasp challenging concepts. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Houston, which has been an amazing experience. I specialize in tutoring math up to Calculus 2, as well as coding and programming. My favorite subjects to tutor are coding and math because, although they seem different, both require logical operations and a strong foundation in problem-solving. I enjoy guiding students through these subjects, showing them how concepts connect and helping them develop confidence in their abilities. My teaching style is very hands-on. I work closely with students, going through example problems and adjusting my approach based on their individual needs. I believe in active engagement and providing real-world applications that make abstract concepts easier to understand. Outside of tutoring, my interests include weightlifting, chess, video games, and reading. These activities help me stay balanced and offer different ways to approach challenges and think creatively, qualities I bring into my tutoring sessions as well.
