A favorite quote of mine, by the ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu, is "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

Few quotes better embody the spirit of education, especially at the beginning of learning something new. I also have kept this notion in mind throughout my life. It helped motivate me to perform well throughout high school and college, having obtained my degree in Political Science, then on to studying for the LSAT and preparing for law school, having attended the University of Georgia School of Law.

Due to my educational history as mentioned above, I currently offer tutoring in OLSAT prep for younger students, high school Physics, though I specialize in tutoring students for ACT, SAT, PSAT, and particularly LSAT test prep for those aspiring to attend law school.

Being exposed to education for over two decades in many different subjects and topics, both through self-learning and formally through many, diverse schools and universities, I know the value of education. One of the most valuable things I have come to realize though is not only the value of the things I have learned and knowing what to learn, but the importance of learning *how* to learn and why this idea of learning is extremely beneficial, largely due to opening a seemingly infinite window of opportunity.

My tutoring philosophy is centered around the "how, not what, to learn" idea and the premise that each individual learns differently. Despite having relatively limited experience in tutoring, I am very excited to expand that experience, being confident in my ability to quickly and efficiently identify the best ways to assist students in learning, while tailoring tutoring methods to each individual student's needs and learning goals. This includes adapting methods based on where a student is in their learning process, their desires and reasons for learning or meeting testing standards, and also using and becoming familiar with resources that they are most comfortable with if they already have personal preferences.

If a student is brand new to learning their desired subject(s) and don't know where to start, I aim to work with them by using diagnostic materials, finding the best books, online courses, projects, exercises, and/or other materials and methods of study to tailor their learning process in order to create the most effective plan to meet their goals.

I also aim to tutor students in an engaging, fun, and creative manner that ensures each student enjoys each session and will begin to look forward to our next time together and further their learning. Students should feel confident that I will put in the effort toward their learning path so they are able to meet their goals, and will go to great lengths to make sure they are able to do so.
