Teaching students to read and write effectively is my true passion, and I bring both academic expertise and hands-on experience to my tutoring practice. With a Ph.D. in English and currently earning a Master's in Literacy with Dyslexia endorsement, I love working with students who need extra support in reading and writing, especially English Language Learners. My approach combines evidence-based teaching methods with a warm, encouraging style that helps students build both skills and confidence. I've worked with learners of all ages - from elementary school children just starting their reading journey to university students tackling complex writing assignments. What makes me most excited is seeing that "light bulb moment" when a student masters a challenging concept or discovers their own love of reading. I believe every student can become a strong reader and writer with the right support!
