I am a U.S. Army Infantry Veteran, and I have 3 degrees. AAS: Automotive Technology, BA: History and Political Science, MA.ed: Educational Leadership. After leaving the Army I decided to pursue a career in teaching. Life happens in between decisions as they say, and I ended up in the automotive industry which is where I have had a career in at some capacity or another for the past 25years.
Teaching is my passion, and I was an automotive instructor at an inner city technical high school in the Seattle Washington area for 8 years. I had the distinct privilege to teach a very underserved population, in conjunction with leading out in teacher meetings and workshops. I was also a mentor and practicum teacher (I taught teachers, how to teach).
Teaching fills my soul, and give me purpose. I thoroughly enjoy watching student's who were struggling become life long learners, and graduate high school with many successes they can speak of.
My key focus areas history/political science, reading comprehension, test anxiety, test preparation, research and writing skills, motivating students to become successful in their life, career counseling, and life skills.
