I graduated from Auburn University Montgomery with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. I received my Juris Doctor degree from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. I regard English and Communication as essential skills for life. The joy of reading for education, work or fun should be a foundational element for every child. I have worked for an independent publisher, as a research assistant for a former law school professor, and I interned at the Alabama Supreme Court. I worked in my family business for more than twenty-five years. During that time, I concentrated on Sales, Accounting, Legal Issues and Corporate Communications. I wrote, reviewed, or designed every letter, brochure, or sales video. I was also a National Merit Finalist in high school.
