Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Georgia and Augusta University (formerly Medical College of Georgia). I received my B.A. in French Language and Political Science. I had the opportunity to study in France in the summer of 2002 in the Cours de la Civilisation Franaise de la Sorbonne. I earned a paralegal certificate after finishing my undergraduate degree at the Center for Legal Studies of the University of Georgia. I worked as a legal assistant for awhile before pursuing a second career in healthcare. I obtained my Masters of Science in Nursing in the Clinical Nurse Leader program. I have worked various roles as Registered Nurse over the last 12 years with the majority of my experience being in Emergency Services. I am passionate about helping the next generation of nurses reach their full academic potential and develop critical thinking skills so that they may practice safe and effective patient care. I enjoy the challenge of discovering how each individual learns material and adapting my approaches and strategies to meet that individual's needs. Outside of work, I enjoy being a mother and a wife, reading in English and in French, writing silly lyrics and serious poetry, crafting, doing yoga and pilates, drinkingOexcellent coffee, and playing the occasional game of Dungeons and Dragons.
