Hello! My name is Brooke Poloskey, and I am excited to embark on this journey with you! I am currently pursuing my Doctoral Degree in Leadership with a concentration in Student Personnel Services at the University of the Cumberlands, with an expected graduation date of December 2024. I hold a Master of Education degree from Tiffin University with a concentration in Higher Education Administration, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts-Boston, and an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from Cape Cod Community College.

I worked as a Substitute Teacher and Tutor for grades K-8 with multiple school districts in Connecticut, and tutored high school and college students in multiple subjects, focusing on reading comprehension, history, study skills, and research. In addition, I worked as an administrator for colleges in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Ohio, specializing in academic advising, transfer admissions, and strategic planning for offices of enrollment management.

Learning a new concept can be difficult. I never forgot what it was like to be a student (I'm right there with you now!) and the fears, hopes, and anxieties that come with the territory. I believe in using real-world examples and materials that interest YOU while adapting to your unique learning style. Let's work together to reach your goals and have fun doing it!

I am an avid "do-it-yourselfer" and believe in learning from mistakes! I love being outdoors. I am a Ham Radio Operator, a voice-over artist, and a self-defense instructor in my spare time. My research interests are: The philosophy of education, learning perspectives, and the American identity (1650-1850).
