I am a graduate of Purdue University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education and a Minor in Psychology. I received the Upcoming Educator Award for the State of Indiana. Since graduation, I began teaching Kindergarten and am now going into my 6th year of teaching. I have been tutoring students from Kindergarten to 3rd grade for 10 years. My passion is to help students achieve their highest potential in the areas of Mathematics, Reading, and Writing. As I enjoy tutoring in these subject areas, I thoroughly enjoy improving students in area of Phonics and Reading Fluency. I am a firm believer that all students can achieve their goals and improve. Not all students learn the same so it is very important to me to learn about each students learning style and work from there. It is extremely important to be to build a strong relationship with each student. Thriving in education begins with a strong relationship. When a student can connect with you and trust you, anything is possible!
