Certified Tutor
I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a bachelors degree in psychology. Upon graduation, I decided to try out teaching by becoming a substitute teacher and a tutor. I quickly learned that I have a passion for educating students. This passion led me to obtain my masters degree in special education at University of Nevada, Las Vegas followed by a masters degree in educational leadership at Regis University. I spent 10 years teaching in a special education program. While I have experience in teaching a broad range of subjects, I particularly enjoyed teaching math (pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, personal finance, etc), all areas of science, and study/organizational skills.
I believe that each student has their own unique way of learning. It is our job as educators to help guide students to become successful learners while navigating their educational journey. There is nothing more rewarding than to see a student who has worked hard to reach their educational goals. Outside of education, I enjoy curling up with a good book, getting creative with a craft, and spending time with my family.
