I have made a successful profession out of education and I am dedicated to helping students of all ages to grow and to have a deeper understanding of all areas of English Language Arts. As someone that once struggled with reading comprehension, it is important to me that students gain the skills that they need in order to be successful and to be able to recall what they just read. I can remember my teachers asking me to read aloud in class. I was always extremely uncomfortable and self conscious about it. I don't want any student, young or old, to feel that way. Grammar is also a passion of mine and I feel that it is important for students to understand so that they can not only be successful in school, but also be successful in their everyday lives. I truly believe that if students have a good grasp on English and Reading, the skills that they take the time to learn now will stick with them and help them forever in all areas of their lives.

Hobbies

Some of my interest and hobbies are as follows... I love to spend time with friends and family. Traveling is probably my favorite thing to do. I love going new places and seeing and doing new things. I have two sons that love to be outside riding bicycles and playing sports. So, I find myself outside quite a bit. Reading is something that I LOVE to do, but don't feel that I get to do it as often as I'd like. I love all genres of literature. I'm definitely NOT a picky reader! I enjoy crafting and redoing furniture as a hobby in my spare time.
