I have a 25-year career as a high school teacher. During that time, I have taught a variety of math and computer science subjects. My personal favorites are AP Computer Science A and AP Calculus AB and BC!

While I studied meteorology in college (B.S. and M.S. degrees from Penn State and a Ph.D. from Colorado State), I pivoted to teaching after working for two years at NASA. Teaching courses as a graduate student made me realize that I was passionate about teaching. I received my teaching certificate and have been teaching ever since!

I have mainly worked with high school students, but I also coach middle school cross country and run a middle school robotics after-school program.

I have taught AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, Precalculus, Geometry, and Algebra I during my 25-year teaching career. I also served as a reader for the AP Calculus AB and BC exams for seven years.

I have taught AP Computer Science A for the past eight years. I also served as a reader for the AP Computer Science A exam for five years.
