I am an astrophysicist. I worked for NASA's Space Telescope Science Institute, The X-ray Astrophysics Laboratory at NASA/Goddard, and Johns Hopkins University doing research in galaxy evolution. I have twelve years of teaching and directing projects for undergrad students at Salisbury University. All the students that I have advised made it to grad school. Even though I could teach and tutor in physics and astronomy, I am passioned about math and teaching math. The reason is that math is the language of science.
By learning math, I would also like to help students to find their own way to learn math. Thanks to my experience developing tests for students at different levels I can help students to prepare for Standardized Tests. As part of a new way to approach math, having fun learning will improve the math skills. Sports statistics are a good way to begin. When not working in astronomy, I love to write, play basketball with my son, and I do yoga.
