I am an attorney licensed to practice law in Colombia. Upon graduating from the Latin American Autonomous University, I trained in technical language and public speaking. I have worked in educational institutions as a teacher in the areas of English, Spanish, and politics.
My most memorable experience was at the Fontidueno educational institution where I worked as a Spanish teacher at night. While there I had interactions with young people and adults of different ages and diverse backgrounds with unique personalities, which enriched me by helping me to develop effective communication skills rooted in empathy and mutual understanding.
In my experience as a teacher I have helped young people face their academic difficulties with confidence, respect, enjoyment, and discipline. To achieve a strong foundation for optimal learning it begins with identifying the motivations, expectations, and aspirations of my students to determine their social, emotional, and cognitive positions to foster relationships of respect and honesty that help shape the pedagogical methods to optimally interpret and absorb the material.
Being raised by a mother who taught humanities allowed me to develop a faithful love for education. Learning is a powerful force that transforms people and allows them to know the world more deeply. Teaching is a calling to share the passion for learning by leading others toward discovery and enlightenment of the mind.
