I am graduate from Pitzer College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Gender Studies and a minor in Dance. While in undergrad I had the privilege of studying abroad in Quito, Ecuador, where I was able to strengthen my Spanish skills. I've used Spanish in various settings since then - working with immigrants, day laborers, people living on the street, and those transitioning into housing. I have a passion for art and have worked in social work for the past 2.5 years. I have worked with students of all ages and a variety of backgrounds. I tutor in many subjects, however I am most passionate about teaching Spanish, English, Writing, and the Humanities. I am compassionate and patient, able to work at your speed and adapt to your learning abilities. I believe learning should be fun and engaging, which is why I'll form a creative lesson plan to help you think outside of the box.
