I'm Rin, a first-generation student who has worked through an A.A. in Liberal Arts & Humanities, a B.A. in English and Education, and an M.A. in English.

During these years, I have been tutoring and teaching in a variety of subjects. I teach a summer course on creative writing, and another on college application essays. In the academic year I've working in classes including: Writing &; Culture; Detective Fiction &; Film Noir; International Horror Cinema; and Social Media &; Discourse. I've read and written in a wide range of genres, and my thesis work concerns the importance of sharing personal narratives in scholarly capacities.

Yet, I remember what it was like to be so overwhelmed by the courses in front of me. I remember thinking I didn't even know what I didn't know, and I had no idea where to start or how to ask for help. In our sessions, we can be candid. We can struggle openly and find conclusions together, and I promise to work with you to help you not only navigate the issues at hand, but gain the skills to keep doing it on your own.
