First of all, I'm fully understanding this specific situation for students due to Pandemic. It must be a very hard time for students and parents. I know that current online classes are not easy to understand what is going on, and explanation is insufficient for students to learn subjects and concepts better, just a lot of assignments are given to students, so I'm trying to find out student's needs and how to let them know. I majored engineering, and have worked semiconductor industry for a long time, so I know real world situations and applications of Science related subject. I'm teaching AP Physics, Statistics, some math subjects, and Korean language.
I usually check students' strengths and weaknesses, then I help them understanding more about their weaknesses and practicing faster about their strong area.
I usually give students sets of formulas, such as essential Physics formulas which cover exams. 2 to 3 pages of summary of Physics formulas will cover all AP physics except electrical and quantum physics as long as they understand which equation should be applied on certain questions.
In case of Math, I always help students the basic concepts and real world examples, especially Calculus and Statistics.
Learning Korean language is really motivating people to plan to travel to Korea. I usually talk with people about many differences between US culture and systems and those of Korea.
Math : Students whom I taught increased their scores enormously, for example their SAT math scores improved from 450 ~ 550 range to 700 ~ 790.
Physics: One who was a student of Austin community college and wanted to transfer to 4 year college had problems on college physics as bad as 40%~50% points, so I taught him, then he got B grade, and he's now at Texas State University.
Korean Language : My Korean fluency is exceptional. I've discussed many topics from basic issue to advanced academic problems in Korean. When I usually talk with young people in Korean, I talk with them about K-Pops or new cultural things. If I talk with little bit older people, I usually make topics with food, general topics, and history with funny anecdotes. You can learn Korean AtoZ with me.
I'm confident that people would improve their grades or scores with my instruction.
Undergraduate Degree: Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul Korea - Bachelor of Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering
I'm very excited on talking with people about popular topics, such as music, cooking, and scientific matters. I like Physics, Chemistry, Math, and Music. One of my hobbies is watching scientific channels on YouTube. I like baking because it is a kind of chemical reaction. I like all things that I don't know, so whenever I encounter new challenges, I always try to find solutions and standards, or make my own ways. I love listening to music, singing Korean songs, and fishing, golfing and more.
