Rafael: Richton Park tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of three international Colleges: University Autonomy of Santo Domingo where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages, mention, Spanish, English and French. The University of the Guyanas in France where I specialized in teaching and Utah State University in the USA where I became an instructional designer. I have traveled extensively, tutoring second language learners, teaching Spanish, English, French for elementary, Middle and High schools. I tutored adults as well. Lately, as an instructional designer, I have been creating instructions using LMS (learning Management system) such as Adobe Captivate and Articulate. While I tutor a broad range of languages, I am most passionate about French and Spanish. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading that which enriches my life, learning a new language, designing instructions and coaching baseball. My passion is to teach American Sign Language. I grew up with Deaf at church and I became missionary for the Deaf and later pastor for the church for the Deaf.
