I am a Class of 2020 Columbia University Civil Engineering graduate and current Master of Science candidate. Through my time at Columbia I worked part-time at the Columbia Online Graduate School where I learned about the dos and don'ts of online teaching. After personally experiencing the transition to online learning when my last semester switched to a fully-online format, as well as witnessing how challenging the transition was for my younger siblings I realized the critical impact of effective academic support.
