Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Reed College with a BA in Linguistics. I have prior experience working with children ages 6-11 on reading, writing, and math skills. I also worked as a peer tutor in Humanities, writing and Phonetics during my time as an undergrad. I tutor a wide range of subjects, including Elementary reading, writing, and math, as well as PSAT and SAT test prep. I am also available to help with every step of the academic writing process, from brainstorming and outlining to final editing.

My goal as a tutor is to help each of my students reach their academic goals, while keeping the learning process interesting, and enjoyable, too! I firmly believe that there's never just one way to learn. If the conventional methods of teaching and learning aren't working for my student, then it's time for us to figure out together how to get there another way.

In my free time I enjoy reading, baking, and spending time in the sunshine.
