I love public speaking, working out, cooking and writing in my journal daily.I am passionate about tutoring students because I once had a tutor. Having a tutor allowed me to feel motivated, encouraged and inspired! My life changed from feeling defeated to victorious! This was due to my tutor believing that I could, so I did! Now I am able to give that same energy back to students I work with. I believe when students are given the right tools according to their learning style, they can achieve with patience and practice as we have fun doing it! I love to teach English Language Arts (reading and writing). I enjoy seeing students find power with words as they use their imagination. I have completed and received credit for basic math through Calculus 2 and Differential Equations. Math has always been a favorite of mine and I want to pass that appreciation on to others struggling in the subject. I also have experience when it comes to tutoring and teaching. I have been tutoring math for four years alternating between an official and unofficial basis. In regards to my general teaching experience, I have nine years of conducting regular bible teaching sessions in people's homes at their convenience.I am currently an undergraduate student at Central Arizona College. I have enough credits and difficulty of classes to receive an AS degree with a 3.5 + GPA. I will apply for the degree this up coming semester.

I attended St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY and graduated May of 2012 with a Bachelors in Liberal Arts. I majored in Multi-Language (Spanish, French & Mandarin) and minored in Communications.Personally, as a language student myself, I completely understand the struggles and frustrations that come when learning a language for the first time. It can become difficult to understand or comprehend, which then causes the student to shut down making it harder to learn. As a language tutor I want to help eliminate that stress and anxiety that students go through and make it a more pleasant learning experience. Languages enable us to speak with a diverse number of people and at the same time learn a bit of the culture that comes along with it. I not only want to help others speak other languages properly but understand the meaning in which certain things are said. I have always emphasized the importance in tone because the way one thing is said in one culture may be hurtful to another with a different perspective and way of life.

I have loved French since I was 14 years old and have been fortunate to share my love of the French language and culture for the last 23 years. I have taught all levels of French from I-AP and have tutored for many years. My favorite part of teaching/tutoring is the "Aha! I get it" moment. I have also been able to visit France and other francophone countries to practice my French outside of a classroom.

I am currently a first year medical student at the University at Buffalo Jacob's School of Medicine. I graduated Syracuse University last year with a dual degree in Biochemistry and Neuroscience.
