Certified Tutor

As a student, I attended West Chester University of Pennsylvania as a candidate for a Bachelors in Music in music education on voice, graduating in May of 2017 with this degree and minors in jazz studies and music history. Having passed my Praxis exams, I earned my Pennsylvania teaching license in K-12 music. Upon graduation, I went on to teach K-8 general music, choir, and musical theater in the School District of Philadelphia at Overbrook Educational Center from 2017 to 2019. At the end of the 2018-2019 academic year, I moved to Denver, transferred my teaching license to the state of Colorado, and taught PreK-5 general music at Rocky Mountain Prep Southwest. From 2018-2020, I attended Temple University earning my Masters of Music in music education through their online program all while working full time. In August of 2020, I graduated with my Masters at the age of 25.

In addition to formal teaching experience, I have also been teaching private lessons in the area of voice, piano, guitar, and ukulele since January of 2015 through a multitude of companies, providing in-home, in-studio, and online personalized instruction.

In terms of tutoring, I am able to provide individualized support and education in all areas of music-related content as well as math, reading, and writing. My approach as a 1:1 instructor is to meet the student where they are at and utilize their strengths in order to bolster their weaknesses. Thus, I remedy gaps in understanding while boosting self-confidence and interest. To me, education is a gift and a tool that should be made accessible and loved by all students.

In my free-time, I do a variety of things! I love to write songs and perform live music as well as hike and exercise. Some other passions of mine include sustainable living, cooking and baking, as well as knitting and cross-stitching.
