My goal as a Language / Liberal Arts tutor is to make subjects accessible and enjoyable for students. In English class, my mission is this: demystify the writing process for one, and help to decode grammatical /mechanics concepts. As your tutor, I am committed to assisting with organization, time management for doing homework, and study skills in addition to all Liberal Arts subject matter. Together, we will take on some of those difficulties you are experiencing in your liberal arts courses and work to make them accessible. My path has led me to great teaching opportunities in New Orleans, Mexico and Oregon. In addition to working with K-12 and university grades, I have assisted non-native speakers with their goals to improve their English skills. Although my current position as lead immigration paralegal for the past 14 years is not a classroom teaching position, I've continued to assist students with schoolwork and kept my teaching active. Even in my current position, those same skills are applied: excellence in communicating through speaking, writing, listening and reading. I look very forward to working with you and helping you to achieve your goals in the classroom and beyond.
