I'm Marlon. I graduated with honors with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, a Bachelors' s in French, an M.B.A. with a Marketing Concentration, and a Master's in Psychology specializing in Behavioral Health. As I attended school, I realized the classes that meant the most to me came from my connection with the professor's, who made the classes relatable and enjoyable. It was their attention to detail, encouragement, and motivation that optimized my learning experiences. The professors were engaging and willing to go the extra mile when I needed help and encouragement. I try to bring these experiences and knowledge to my tutoring approach and go the extra mile to make sure the learning experience is pleasant and engaging. I utilize and develop lesson plans that allow me to introduce the topic in a fun and creative way. Topics are then explicitly taught to improve the knowledge of the student. Afterwards, I make sure students have adequate practice for the materials to ensure they can find solutions on their own. This flexible technique is applied to students with various individual needs, and in various subjects.

I have 15 years of tutoring experience in Mathematics courses ranging from Middle grade Math, High School Math, and to Calculus I for college students. I have also had over 10 years' experience tutoring English, Public Speaking, Business, PSAT, SAT, Competition Math, and ACT courses. I work in various group sizes from individual to large group. I work directly with any students who need additional assistance. I also have 3 years' experience in teaching Middle Grade Math. I excel at personalizing tutorials to increase grades, as well as the self-esteem for students.
