Certified Tutor

I have taught high school English classes and tutored students for more than 8 years.

I have helped students prepare for the English regents, AP Language and Literature tests, and their SAT exam.

I am a certified English teacher and record certification through the NYC DOE teaching fellows program.

I have experience tutoring for more than 10 years with students of all ages from pre-k to adults.

I enjoy working with students to achieve success, beyond their expectations.

I received my B.A. in English Education at Adelphi University in 2009 and my M.A in English Education at Brooklyn College in 2014.

In the years prior to joining HSCL's faculty, I was a corps member and senior corps member for City Year, a non-profit, national service organization where young adults serve as mentors in high-needs New York public schools.

I grew up in Hawaii and loves learning about diverse cultures and people. Currently I teach Global Literature and Journalism classes, incorporating theory and analysis to help students gain new insight on the world.
