After 30 years as an educator in Texas, I continue to be passionate about teaching and learning. I am grateful for the amazing journey I had and hope to continue on this path working with learners to help them achieve their learning goals. I earned my undergraduate degree in English Writing from St. Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana. I was a middle school language arts teacher and reading teacher. After teaching several years, I earned my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. I served as a district reading coach serving both high schools and middle schools. I also was a Language Arts Instructional Specialist on a middle school campus. Since retiring, I have continued to work part-time with both high school and middle school students to prepare for state testing.
