I am a recent UC Berkeley graduate with a degree in English. I have extensive experience in proof-reading essays, speech preparation, and helping students form their essays in the beginning stages. What I value most about tutoring is that I have the opportunity to help students grow and uncover unknown layers of their potential. I strongly believe in positive reinforcement in order to encourage students to meet their academic goals in the most effective way.

I have studied Spanish for eight continuous years, starting from when I was in 7th grade to my second year in college. I started from Spanish 1 and went all the way through to advanced Spanish literature, additionally taking college-level advanced placement courses while I was in high school.
While at UC Berkeley I worked for an immigration attorney where it was required that I knew Spanish. I spoke to the clients in Spanish and translated their forms from Spanish to English.
Last year, I spent four months studying abroad in Argentina and Chile as a part of a student-exchange program. My four months in South America truly helped elevate the fluency of my Spanish to what it is today.

As an English major, I have written my fair share of essays, and I have a keen eye for proof-reading which was the result of writing in one of the top English departments in the country. Additionally, I have experience tutoring ESL students in the basic concepts of English, grammar, and sentence structure.
