I am a graduate of Grand Valley State University where I earned my B.A. in English and Spanish. I have been teaching English and Spanish in secondary education since 2011.
I am an impactful educator because I am passionate about my subjects and am able to creatively adapt to many different learners. My students say I am able to make learning approachable and fun through humor and connecting our learning concepts to real life. I have an extreme attention to detail, so I love helping edit and polish pieces of writing.
I was born to teach, and I love the challenge of helping students connect to and gain an appreciation for English and Spanish!
Outside of my classroom, you could find me traveling to different countries, rooting for Detroit sports teams, or re-watching The Office.

I love to watch all sports, but I play volleyball, softball, and golf. I am obsessed with traveling to new places, but I would never turn down a return trip to Spain.
