I graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Latin American Studies and Medicine, Health, and Society. I am a TEFL certified, experienced Upper Elementary and Secondary instructor, and I specialize in teaching students whose second language is English. My educational philosophy, which I have developed over the past three years teaching at international schools in Mexico and Guatemala, is progressive, multicultural, and globally minded. My approach is inquiry-based, and I place importance upon a well-rounded education, including both academics and social emotional development. I deeply value building strong, genuine relationships with my students and creating an open and mutually respectful learning environment. I speak Spanish and Portuguese with full professional proficiency, and look forward to the opportunity to help students grow. In my spare time, I like being outdoors, cooking, and playing with my dogs.
