Certified Tutor

I obtained my BS in electrical engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and my MS in electrical engineering at Johns Hopkins University. I was a Nuclear Submarine Power System Designer at IBM for 10 years and the Director of Engineering at Xybernaut for 12 years designing and developing wearable computers for military and commercial purposes. I have eight (8) US design patents on mobile computer technology.
During that time, I was also a part-time math tutor and accumulated 23 years of tutoring experience. I specialize in teaching all math courses ranging from pre-algebra, algebra I/II, trigonometry, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus AB/BC, PSAT math, SAT/ACT math, and SAT math IIC subject tests.
I am energetic, well-rounded, and patient and have developed many ways to creatively and effectively teach students, to make them successful.
My interests and hobbies are attending church as well as playing in Northern Virginia soccer leagues.
