Certified Tutor

I am currently a junior majoring in computer science-mathematics at Columbia University. Additionally, I have an associate in mathematics and an associate in engineering science from the County College of Morris. While at CCM, I spent two years tutoring math and science to a variety of students -- from high schoolers to returning professionals and beginning algebra students to math majors. My students gave me valuable experience in tailoring my teaching to the individual.

I now tutor the SAT and a range of STEM subjects, but math, physics, and computer science are my favorites. I especially enjoy teaching the "why" behind how things work. I want my students not just to get excellent scores but also to learn how to learn -- to understand that they have the capacity to master any subject with the right mindset and techniques. It is my goal to help students realize that their studies matter. Aside from academics, I enjoy hiking, playing video games, and entertaining my two chaotic kittens.
