I just completed my sophomore year in the honors program at the University of Michigan College of Engineering in the graduating class of 2020, pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in computer science. I have taken Calculus 1 through 4, Calculus Based Physics (both mechanics and electricity and magnetism) and a multitude of computer science courses such as data structures and basic web development courses. I am also the vice president of my university's exoskeleton design team where I apply my knowledge of mathematics, physics and computer science in the development of a pneumatically actuated upper arm exoskeleton. I look forward to the opportunity to teach others the fundamentals of one, or all of these subjects. I have had experience tutoring high school students for both the Algebra 1 and Physics New York State Regents exams. My personal teaching style is to give a student practice problems that relate to the topics that they are having difficulty with, and guiding them through the problem when they have trouble. I find this method not only teaches students better than other methods such as lecturing, but also builds their confidence in solving these problems. Outside of academia, I enjoy scuba diving, sailing and reading.
