I am excited to help students achieve their academic goals and hopefully, in the end, their long-term life dreams. I graduated from Duke University in 2017 and have been working as a medical scribe at the Piedmont Atlanta Hospital emergency department for the past year. In August, I will be attending Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. My academic success has rested largely on the studying and testing techniques I have employed. I plan to pass these on to my students.
Though my background leans towards science and math, as a music minor I play guitar and trumpet and have written a number of songs. I try to incorporate this artistic mindset into my teaching style, giving my students both the tools to understand the current lesson, but also the confidence and creativity to tackle future challenges. This means learning in a way that is comfortable for the student, as well as finding an aspect of the subject that she is passionate about. In the past, this style has been largely successful for helping friends and coworkers. I look forward to working with you.
