Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the St. Augustine's University in Raleigh, NC, where I earned a BA in Communications. I was awarded Outstanding Communications during my senior year. After earning a Master's in Urban Studies from CUNY-Queens College in NY, I returned back to NC and launched my freelance writing business. Throughout my career, I served as a writing tutor to adults wanting to learn how to blog and start a writing business of their own. While I am passionate about writing, I enjoy helping others to learn how to write on their own. In addition to writing and tutoring, I teach English as a Second language to lovely Chinese elementary and Pre-K students. They call me Teacher Ty!

I am a firm believer of fun while learning and the importance of understanding what is learned -- not just memorizing things! I hope to assist with your academic needs, while showing you real-life experiences where writing well is necessary.

Outside of my career and tutoring, I enjoy blogging and slow cooking in my Crock Pot.
