I am a graduate of Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. I also received my Elementary Education certification from McKendree University. I have been teaching elementary school for over 12 years. I have taught kindergarten, 2nd grade and 3rd grade. In third grade I have helped prepare students for the standardized state tests focusing on math, reading, and extended writing responses. I have a real passion for ensuring that children are given an opportunity to learn through real and meaningful experiences. Outside of the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family traveling, watching movies and reading.
