Certified Tutor

I am a graduate student at Marquette University, finishing my Master's Degree and beginning my Ph.D. in History. I have tutored or worked as a teaching assistant since 2013. In 2015, I spent a full academic year teaching in Latvia. These experiences have convinced me to make a career of teaching. I find it both fun and rewarding to help others understand concepts that they may not have beforehand.

I believe that learning can be fun, and my approach to tutoring reflects my often-goofy nature. I tailor my approach to each student's interests. We may play games, work through flashcards, or whatever other activity will help the student best understand the material.

I love music of all kinds, and I enjoy finding styles/artists I have not been exposed to before. I'm an avid college football fan, having grown up in Alabama (War Eagle, boo Bama), but I do enjoy watching other sports as well (Go Brewers!). I take every opportunity I have to travel, as I believe doing so directly connects me to a people and their past, present, and future. My dream is to visit every country in the world! 19 down, about 200 to go!
