I like teaching, which is why I like Varsity Tutors. As a retired public-school teacher and university professor I have many years of teaching a variety of students. I know how to motivate learners to do their best. During my public-school career I taught art, technology, reading and writing. Similarly, as a professor my efforts and doctorate focused on the learner in online environments much like Varsity Tutors. Recently, I returned from a year of teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) in Thailand to both adults and children; it was an incredible experience learning new teaching techniques and earning my TEFL. I continue to teach because I am passionate about helping others meet their learning goals." --
